Guthug

Guthug is a despondent, middle-aged orc who staffs the Lightning Rail station at Midzen Id. Every ticket is booked from the city end, so his only duty is to be there. He spends his shifts with his feet on the table, rereading the same pages of a book of tales about the pirate king Emyr An Beard.

He will tell visitors about the town, though he keeps drifting back to his book. By his account nothing much happens any more: the goblins who used to put in to raid and restock stopped coming ten or more years ago, leaving only miners heading into the Stone Forest and freight coming and going.
