Bedlam is a greataxe of Braggum's, and every blow lands with a boom like thunder that no magical silence can muffle. When it bites deep, the Weave around its wielder splits and something wild comes through.
| d8 | Wild Surge |
|---|---|
| 1 | Necrotic energy bursts out: each creature within 30 feet takes 1d10 necrotic damage, and you gain temporary hit points equal to the total dealt. |
| 2 | You teleport up to 20 feet to an unoccupied space you can see, and can do so again as a bonus action on each of your turns while your rage lasts (up to 1 minute). |
| 3 | The Weave splits and you cast Hunger of Hadar centred at your feet. |
| 4 | Arcane energy wraps you: for 1 minute you gain +2 AC, and any creature within 10 feet that hits you takes force damage equal to your Constitution modifier. |
| 5 | Until the end of your next turn, you can't be targeted by spells. |
| 6 | Each creature within 30 feet makes a Wisdom save or you glimpse its battle plan; it has disadvantage on attacks against you until the start of your next turn. |
| 7 | Shadows weave around the axe: until your rage ends it deals psychic damage and can be thrown (20/60 feet), reappearing in your hand at the end of your turn if dropped or thrown. |
| 8 | A 5-foot-wide, 60-foot line of radiant light lances from your chest: each creature in it makes a Constitution save or takes 2d8 radiant damage and is blinded until the start of your next turn. |
