Down the Well to Hysteria

The party fought the hippo-men; Cornelius Amos Dagonlette fled through the portal like a coward, mentioning a pelt like Rainclaw's and leaving behind a corpse and one of his companions, whom the party also killed. The survivor, a famous hunter of The Guild of Harrow from Sigil, said they had harvested Wildness materials for years, taken all the green glass, and knew of a locked door; their captive "stock" knew of Thistle Jack. Breaking the seal, the party explored on through the site's "proper" entrance, finding little, and followed a repurposed tin mine and emerged from a dry well in Hysteria, where Askmedeous, an ancient tiefling who trades on a fake connection to Asmodeus, gave Brother Oils an oil. They learned of the town's "fright stripe", its ghosts, and its three churches (a "Beast Lord", the Lady of Ravens and the Celestial Weaver).
