Protocol Beta
Item Campaign 3Imported from Scabard, not yet reviewed
Protocol Beta (The Binary Bind):
- Detailed Concept: A magical system that binds two targets together, causing them to share all damage and effects. The link is both a curse and a strategy, used to create a dilemma for attackers or to force enemies into unwanted alliances.
- Operational Elements:
- Binding Mechanism: The protocol involves two bracelets or talismans that magically attach to the targets. Once bound, any effect (positive or negative) on one is mirrored on the other.
- Release Conditions: Removing the bind requires a high-level dispel magic or a specific ritual known only to a few within The Eightfold, making it difficult for enemies to break.
- Tactical Use: Jorim deploys this in situations where protecting a key asset is crucial, or to create chaos among enemy ranks by forcing them to consider the consequences of their attacks.
- In-Game Impact: The party must navigate the complexities of dealing with bound allies or enemies, potentially requiring non-standard solutions or negotiations to resolve the situation without unwanted harm.
