Imported from Scabard, not yet reviewed

The Tides - An Intricate Coastal Hub The Tides remains the vibrant maritime district of Rookfall, with its sprawling docks, creaking warehouses, and the ceaseless ebb and flow of traders and sailors. The air is a blend of sea salt, fish, and the distant aroma of exotic spices brought in from foreign lands.

Updated Locations of Interest in The Tides

  1. The Wharfwatcher's Tower

    • A tall, imposing structure offering a panoramic view of the entire district. Here, the Wharfwatcher, a keen-eyed Drow named Varis Nightshadow, keeps a meticulous record of all ships entering and leaving the harbor. Varis is known for his vast knowledge of sea lore and could provide insights into the peculiar tides and missing vessels.
  2. The Clawed Chalice

    • As you approach "The Clawed Chalice," the lively sound of sea shanties and raucous laughter spills out into the streets. The sign above the door features a stylized chalice held in a giant crab claw, setting the tone for what lies within.

Upon entering, you're greeted by a warm, salty atmosphere that feels like a blend between a ship's galley and a cozy pub. The interior is spacious, with high ceilings supported by thick wooden beams. Nets, buoys, and maritime paraphernalia hang from the walls, and the tables are made from repurposed barrels and driftwood.

The most striking feature is the large crabfolk who run the establishment. With their imposing size and friendly demeanors, they scuttle efficiently around the room, serving drinks and sharing stories of the sea. The lead proprietor, a particularly large and jovial Crabfolk named Captain Clawson, welcomes patrons with a wide, toothy grin and a hearty laugh.

  3. Coral's Curiosities

    • A shop filled with strange and wondrous items from across the seas. The proprietor, a Water Genasi named Coral Wavecrest, deals in rare artifacts and knows much about the ocean's mysteries. She might have peculiar items that can help navigate or understand the unusual tides.
