The island and the moonlit mist

The party un-petrified one of their own while still on an island with Bogclaw and two guards; a dragon flew over. They headed south of a lake and followed a river and a little-used road into autumnal country, where stick markers hung in the trees and a sign had its writing scratched off ("gonna be a witch"). They climbed a 300 ft cliff and at night found a moonlit mist that felt connected to life and death. A foe that night was memorably scary.

In the downtime that followed, the party explored a city's shops (see The Last Drop Distillery). Phantom performed his way to a 25% market discount and bought mithral splint and a +2 buckler. Thaddeus Gromsler offered Wraith the Boots of Still for stealing a filigreed box from Oxo Box. Gossip: a dwarf woman staying at a seedy tavern, a noble's wife gone down the coast, a meteor strike to the north, and Oxo Box's elf having "lived since the Calamity".
