Morgaine was a player character in the Skyfire Chronicles (campaign 1) and one of The Fatemakers, the heroes of The Skyfire.

In the Skyfire Chronicles

Morgaine is a dachshund and a wild-magic sorcerer. He was once human, until wild magic turned him into a dog, and he hoped to change back through True Polymorph or Wish. His surges left him hairless and immune to alcohol, and he won a drinking contest for Delin's reward. He was the party's teleporter: he tore Jokit's arm off pulling him out of the Everbright seal, spoke with the Thrice Scarred, and left Last Rites in its cell. He juiced the ice demon Agmath into black-ice vodka and carries the Tear of Chaos. He wanted a planar tear.

Background: a wild magic accident. His own magic made him what he is, and it shows: his look and manner mark him as a stranger wherever he goes. That draws stares, but also the interest of scholars, nobles and merchant princes keen to hear about him, and that interest opens doors for him and his companions. He speaks Undercommon and Draconic, and is acrobatic and stealthy.

Teleportation sigils. Morgaine knew the sigils of five teleportation circles: in Xinstock, the basement of The Sapphire Sepulchre, the Temple of Gond and the Archmage's lab; the Temple of Malar in Eu; and the Temple of Myrkul at East Keep.

Staves of power. His notes track three staves of power: one held by the emperor of Xinstock (who is off-plane), one by an advisor to the king of The Dottenland, and one by Eldack, a blue dragonborn wizard in Ionus in The Burg, in a glacial space.

Contingency. He kept a clone in the Archmage's lab in Xinstock, ready from 3 Second Seed.

Ally: Flames, a fire elemental from a brazier.

Gear: the Tear of Chaos, a Robe of the Archmagi, and a flying ship, Morgaine's Battle Balloon.

Near the end of the campaign a Wish transformed him into a golden dragonling, though he kept a PC stat block. On 30 November 2020 (real time) he took that draconic "ascended form": a pony-sized dog with ten-foot golden wings, scales, claws and fiery breath.

In campaign 2

Bragg and Morgaine both fought in campaign 2's final mass battle, The Siege of Talonkeep (1034 PC, played 2023-07-19).
