Daxon ShellFirst was a player character in the Skyfire Chronicles (campaign 1) and one of The Fatemakers, the heroes of The Skyfire.
In the Skyfire Chronicles
Daxon is the party's tortle druid, a snapping turtle by kind, of the Circle of Spores, nicknamed "Dixy". He wears insect-like goggles, takes the form of a giant crab (once towing the party's raft ashore), turns into gaseous form, and animates zombies; one of his zombies once wore Bral's armour. He gave the party water breathing in a pinch. Daxon comes from a nomadic homeland in a golden northern land and collects the eldritch woods (Xorian, Shavarran, Mabaran, Lamannian and Fernian), still seeking Irian Rosewood. When The Psycore mind-wiped the party in Xinstock, only the tortle was spared.
An anthropologist at heart, Daxon wandered aboard the ship that carried the Fatemakers to their first adventure simply because he wanted to learn about people.
Afterwards. Daxon became the land: a swamp in Bosia. Years later the myconid Keso walked out of it, and Daxon, the swamp, is Keso's patron, a warlock's bond of the Undying.
Gear: the bone staff The Balance, inlaid with woods of many colours, and a Crystal Ball of Telepathy.
Also known as Dixy, Daxon ShellFirst, Daxoon ShellFirst, ShellFirst.
