Eavaros Codex

The sunken temple

Played

Recap

During the week, Wraith had been caught taking stolen gold ore from Bragg's pack, and he left town with 80 lb of it to smelt at an abandoned forge.

The party returned to the wreck of their ship. Auntie Suzie was living in its carcass and offered information in exchange for a murder later; they declined. The druid (Daxon) found a causeway running north-east, and Delin gave them water breathing.

In a sunken temple a sarcophagus held a whip, a silver shield, a pearl, 1,800 gp and 100 pp. In a colonnade waited a shirtless, light-blue triton warrior with the celestial words Faith and Sacrifice across his chest. He grew huge and the cavern flooded. Morgaine turned the "mad monk" to ash, and a surge left him immune to alcohol. It was the party's first big bad. Braggum was knocked out for the third time.

Loot: bracers of defense, a ring of the ram, a pearl of power, the Orb of the Faithful and three seeker darts. The Sacrifice tattoo kept burning brighter after the monk's death. Later the party learned this "fish monk" was the first to call them Fatemakers.
