Voddar Leadbelt

Voddar Leadbelt, an OverBlade in the service of Helm, was the father of Bralmur and brother of Jokit. He died while Bral was away. In a farewell letter to "Bralmur" he wrote that the Watcher had given him a great service that could never be finished: there must always be an Everbright (The Everbright). Bral's schooling in the Everbright had been deliberate, since his instructors saw his potential, but he left home too young to learn "the path below". Voddar charged him to reset the seals that protect the undercities from the Dark Mind, told him that his uncle Jokit knew how, and closed by reminding him of the Doctrine of the One True Vision.
