The Everbright

The Everbright is the enchantment, developed by the Helmite hero Gimnumir Marblehand, that makes the paladins and clerics of Helm so formidable, and also the line of seals it powers beneath the dwarven cities. The Fatemakers' notes call it "the final frontier" against what lies below. The seals guard the undercities from the Dark Mind, and one of them holds Zarok the Thrice Scarred, chained in a pocket dimension. Keeping the Everbright is a duty with no end: "there must always be an Everbright".
In campaign 1 Bralmur inherited that duty from his father, Voddar Leadbelt, whose last letter asked him to reset the seals with the help of his uncle Jokit. In October and November 2019 (real time) abyssal incursions and a hostile drow city troubled Kheledzund; deep beneath it the Fatemakers freed Jokit, whose arm was locked into a seal column of the Everbright, and found Zarok's cell.
After The Skyfire, strengthened by the worship of Jarren's Outpost, Bralmur took over from Jokit as the Everbright.
