Thalorien Windspeak's Sites

Thalorien Windspeak's book, The Shattered Earth and Sacred Tombs: Chronicles of the Eastern Dottenland and Northern Burg, describes twenty-four sites he claims to have excavated across the eastern Dottenland and northern Burg. The party received it in their first session of campaign 3. Windspeak admits he values a good story over accuracy, so every entry should be taken with a pinch of salt. None of the sites is placed on a map.

1. The Fields of Wyrmfall: petrified dragon scales and fangs, and talismans of unknown origin.
2. Barrows of Bleakwood: burial mounds in a dangerous forest, guarded by spectres.
3. The Sanguine Plains: a much-fought-over battlefield, full of old arms and armour.
4. Twilight Glade: a copse in the eastern Dottenland in endless dusk, with artefacts of forgotten heroes.
5. Whispering Hollow: an ice-sealed crypt in the northern Burg holding strange trinkets and books.
6. The Riven Peak: the clifftop ruins of a fallen citadel, with old scrolls and broken sceptres.
7. Vale of Echoes: burial urns that cry out when struck.
8. Duskfall Ruins: the remains of arcane academies, with spellbooks still intact.
9. Tomb of the Moonless Night: a shadow-sealed chamber holding the effigy of a forgotten monarch under an onyx lid.
10. The Grey Mare Meadow: a meadow hiding the armour of knights from a tragic joust.
11. The Ironclad Hills: rugged hills yielding old steel and rusted blades.
12. Abyssal Chasm: a deep chasm whose gems seem to swallow light.
13. Sorrow's Reach: peaks in the Burg with altars and effigies to mourning.
14. Fen of Forgotten Souls: a fen whose trinkets are overgrown with vine and root.
15. The Pinnacle of Despair: a ruined temple of a faith twisted by grief, with chalices and censers.
16. Sundered Stone Fields: split rocks holding shards of lingering magic.
17. The Cursed Shore: a beach yielding barnacled sabres and ghostly figureheads.
18. Veil of the Damned: stone circles on unhallowed ground, with relics of dark rites.
19. Moonlit Grove: silver swords laid out in the shapes of constellations.
20. Halls of Valiance: catacombs of knights' and nobles' sarcophagi and heraldry.
21. The Bloodforge: old forges with rune-inscribed weapons in the slag.
22. Wailing Heights: cliffside tombs where spectral hands reach for what was taken.
23. Serpent's Coil: a winding path of runic tablets telling of battles and broken oaths.
24. Ashen Wastes: ash fields holding calcified draconic talons and fangs.
