Recap
Aniketos joined the table as a guest that night.
The party pooled what they knew about the mine. The miners are unionised. The foreman Bodrick kept everyone out, citing a gas leak, and is missing, presumed dead. At the bottom of the mine is a perfect geode holding an altar or socket that once held The Source; it was empty, and the socket resisted every magical and physical test. On the first visit a ghost demanded "WHERE IS THE SOURCE" and nearly killed Binkette. Bodrick's pick lay by the socket, and the only bodies were lizard-like creatures that left nothing but blood, a possible result of Protocol Theta. Anyone who goes to the bottom of the mine is drawn into the dreams, and each dream comes from one person: the bogoloff from Thoren Blackthorn, the giant mushroom from Ono Palevo, the egg from Reid Ransom. A dwarf paladin taken into the mine now appears in them too. Thoren took a sliver of the socket.
The party suspected Lord Cedric, whose mercenaries arrived just after Bodrick vanished, and Evelina Crane, whose sleep is troubled. At The Archive of Echoes they found a shelf of books on dreams, psionics and mining, including Stephen Amber II : Electric canoe and Dwarves Don't Dream.
