The Cracking of Zelyr
Event Campaign 3In 1041 PC the moon Zelyr, the Harsh's phylactery, cracked open and spilled black ichor across the sky.
In 1041 PC the third moon, Zelyr, cracked open, and black ichor spilled across the night sky. The party watching it judged that the stain would cover the whole sky within a fortnight.
Zelyr was no natural moon. The Orb Weaver had forged it about eight hundred years earlier as a phylactery for what remained of The Harsh, and the souls siphoned from the dying, among them the dead of The Plague, had been gathered to break it open. Its cracking came near the end of The Twilight Anarchy, before the party faced the Harsh himself in The Battle with the Harsh. The rest of the campaign, from The Wild Hunt to the Harsh's fall, played out within a couple of weeks of the crack.
Soon afterwards the party broke what they called the moon's haunting, only to find themselves haunted in turn.
Also known as the cracked moon, the sundering of the moon.
