The Plague
Event Campaign 3A plague between campaigns 2 and 3, secretly unleashed by the Nocturnal Loom to harvest souls; Reid Ransom ended it.
The plague swept the land in the years between campaign 2 and The Twilight Anarchy, before 1040 PC. It was no natural sickness. The Nocturnal Loom unleashed it to trap the souls of the dying, gathering soul energy for the sundering of the moon Zelyr, the phylactery of The Harsh.
Reid Ransom ended it. Zeph gave him the means to stop it, and saving the town made Reid something of a local celebrity in Shade Hollow.
Its dead left gaps all through the region. Several of Binkette's more recent spouses were widowed by it, Kael lost his mother to it, and his father Alaric, the mine foreman, survived but lost the use of his legs; he was killed later, in the Eightfold's raid on Shade Hollow. Thoren lost his whole family, and brought his brother Eamon back with necromancy.
