Item Campaign 2fractured and scattered parts of the Nethershaper, moved across the continent after the Calamity.
The Shards of Obsidian are the fractured and scattered remains of Mol'maroch The Nethershaper, turned to obsidian by Herentor at the end of The Calamity and carried across the continent afterwards. The largest mass is the levitating block in the Shrine of the Last in Fort Obsidian. Heishen the Deathless collects the rest through trade, guile and war, buying any obsidian that comes through Fort Obsidian's bazaar. The King In Yellow once offered Heishen the location of a shard as part of a pact.
Known pieces include the Veneficium Dux and the Obsidian Skull. In campaign 2, a large myconid in Mycelia was corrupted by a fist-sized chunk of obsidian lodged in its head.
Known parts are The Veneficium Dux and also the Obsidian Skull there are at least 3 other parts in location unknown that Heishen searches for.
