Heishen the Deathless

Heishen the Deathless is the primarch and high commander of Creatis, ruling from Fort Obsidian. To his people he is a tall black dragonborn soldier who rose through the ranks, the latest in a long line of Heishens who have held Creatis. Rumours and strong suspicions surround the primarch: about his true nature, his long line of namesakes, and what lies behind the obsidian mask.

In campaign 2

The party found Heishen's contract among the King in Yellow's: the power to absorb the power of the betrayer god Mal Moroch, barring its use against the King in Yellow, which "only the hand of the King in Yellow" could deny. Olaf, holding that hand, tore it up in late 1034.

In campaign 4

In 1047 PC Heishen is still based at Fort Obsidian and holds or knows of devil contracts, King in Yellow paper among them. The Baron of Sandwater Slough considered buying out his own contract through Heishen, and the Amber Queen's communes pointed Uldrick to him. A tabaxi courier of Heishen's, reluctant to report back, vanished in a Slough pub. The party's notes spell him Highshan, Hishan and Heishan.

At The Nightpeak Ball Heishen came as Primarch of Creatis, a head taller than his dragonborn retinue (Haoshen and Laoyan), in a mask of cut obsidian with a wave of amethyst across the brow that suggested a great dragon.
