Finale: The Siege of Talonkeep

The campaign's final battle, The Siege of Talonkeep, against Dhum. The party defended a star fort raised with Mighty Fortress, with sigils on the ramp and beach, a ditch of difficult terrain, and Ebony's druid magic (mould earth, snare, spike growth). Their allies included foot soldiers, wizard minions, a barbarian on a dragon and druids. Bragg and Morgaine from campaign 1 also fought.

The party won. As an agent of Orcus, Dhum led a corrupted march of a million modrons on an interplanar invasion, and had built himself a massive robot body. SAM sacrificed himself to destroy it. Ebony used their vestige to revive him, at the cost of 3 points of Intelligence that left Ebony simple; months later Scribble tracked Ebony down and restored their intellect with a risky Wish.

In the epilogue, the heroes of yore return to their lands; the fighters of the Cemetery can never recapture their glory and stay restless; the druids return to the grove; and the wizards of The City of Birds are emboldened by their cohort's victory.
