Ebony

Ebony is a loxodon druid. He fled home from his grove, afraid he could never live up to his family's deeds. He also had a gambling problem, which was resolved over the course of the story.

Campaign 2

Ebony is a male loxodon druid of the Circle of the Shepherd, an outlander with alopecia who talks to animals. He wild-shapes into a wolf, an anchovy, and an elephant-dragon.

• Learned that Karkos is a demigod of Vistas Landing whose divinity some now question.
• In the bubble city he found records of druids from Vistas Landing lost while seeking a shipwreck north of Mahavana, and of the Water Ashari. The Wreck of the Covenant became his goal.
• Befriended a roc on the flight to Branestone.
• In Fort Obsidian's bazaar he drew cards from a strange deck. One made all his wealth vanish; another summoned an Avatar of Death, which he killed in elephant-dragon form, though two of the three shopkeeper brothers died. He ended the day catatonic.
• Carried the staff Spire of Conflux, which grew with him into an artifact, a Gold Canary Figurine of Wondrous Power, a +2 Moon Sickle, and a huge number of rocks from Grobnak's franchise rock store.
• Patrick the Elm Tree, a very young elm and possibly a great old one, became his would-be patron and companion. He also pondered a connection with Slagathor and his own growing fey-like qualities.
• At The Rookery College, Professor Seraphina of Necromancy is uninterested in anyone except Ebony.
• Shaped the battlefield with druid magic at The Siege of Talonkeep. When SAM sacrificed himself to destroy Dhum's robot body, Ebony used his vestige to revive him, at the cost of 3 points of Intelligence, which left Ebony simple. Months later Scribble tracked him down and restored his intellect with a risky Wish.
