The Abyss is the bottomless, chaotic plane of demons.
In May 2019 (real date), Theo's research found that the giant cockroach-like Nyogi the Fatemakers had killed came from the Abyss, that abyssal creatures make things around them decay, and that where there is one there are likely more. The runes they had found were Bistle, which is Abyssal, and Delin had spoken of abyssal "Gate Runes" reading North, East, South, West, Deep and Time (C1 · Monday 6 May 2019 · Siege and ritual). In October 2019 (real date) Kheledzund was under attack from abyssal things out of the Underdark.
Reaching it. By a amethyst (or swirling dark purple) colour pool in The Astral Sea, a swirling red curtain in the Deep Ethereal or a plane shift fork of iron tuned to D.
