Kheledzund
Place Campaign 1Campaign 3Three-tiered dwarven city of the Ridgeway, home of the Abbey of Helm; scene of the Fatemakers' battles against the Underdark.
Kheledzund is a dwarven city of the Ridgeway, built in three tiers down a great pit, with a mechanical lift that takes exactly twelve minutes to descend. Its first tier holds the Abbey of Helm (House Invincible), where Bralmur was consecrated into Helm's clergy, and whose shrine honours Helmite heroes such as Gimnumir Marblehand, inventor of the Everbright enchantment. The second tier houses the eminent clans, including the Leadbelts; the third holds the Great Forge, the Slaghouse and the Undercity.
Campaign 1. In October and November 2019 (real time) the city was under attack from abyssal things out of the Underdark, with hints of "the Dark Mind". Deep beneath it the Fatemakers killed a "murder brain", freed Jokit from a seal column of the Everbright, solved a prismatic owl puzzle, and found the interdimensional cell of Zarok the Thrice Scarred, where Morgaine left Last Rites.
After The Skyfire. Kheledzund fared worst of the dwarven cities: its great bridge collapsed into the Underdark during the Ruination and took several years to rebuild. Jokit spent his retirement helping to run the city.
