The Hollow Sound

The Hollow Sound is a stretch of water off Creatis, around The Offering, the island where criminals and enemies are sacrificed to the Beastlands. On the southern map the Offering sits just south of The Pallid Spire, between Creatis and The Beastlands.
The leadership of Creatis tells everyone that something monstrous lives in the Sound. Sailors believe it: regular offerings keep the dragon-scaled beast at bay, but something below the surface frightens even the most stoic of them, and no one sails the Hollow Sound. Each month a caravan of livestock leaves Fort Obsidian for the harbour town of Arlingsard, where it is loaded onto barges and floated out to the Offering. The current seems to carry the barges to the island of its own accord. Officially it is tribute to the great monstrosities of the Beastlands. It does not feed the Beastlands' beasts, which are content in their forest and care nothing for Creatis: the tithe feeds Heishen himself, a fact that has stirred suspicions about what the primarch really is. The owl Sinatra told the campaign 2 party so before she was reabsorbed into the Feywild.
