Tunda Deepshaper

NPC Campaign 2 · After Skyfire

A Dwarven member of the Broken Bones.

Tunda bases herself out of The Regard, mostly a site of pilgrimage, with thick cloaks and disguise self she is better able to hide her presence. She often uses beast shapes to overcome her disability, preferring dire bear and triceratops for combat, or a common house cat for reconnoitre.

Appearance: diminutive, and wheelchair bound, though Tunda typically appears in the form of a huge grey bear or other notably regal creature. Wearing a headdress of her bear clan ancestors, with grizzled and tanned leathery skin from a life spent outdoors. Wrinkles frame a small face with deep set green eyes. And wispy grey hair cascades under the tribal headdress. With utilitarian leather armour, the only ornamentation is 2 goat skulls as pauldrons, where often her owl familiar Sinatra makes their perch. The wheelchair is enchanted to some extent and functions regardless of surface.

After the felling of the Weather wall, the end of the great illusion, The Grasslands of the Restless expanse slowly underwent desertification, erosion along the northern shores and erosion led to the Restless Expanse becoming one of the driest and most inhospitable places in all of Eavaros.

Her deal with the King in Yellow. In dealing with The King In Yellow, Tunda wanted one thing: for the dwarves of the Expanse to be free of famine and drought and able to wander hills and grasslands again. A new home. The King in Yellow banished the great dwarven city of the Expanse to the Feywild, where agents of the Unseelie Court beset it, seeing the dwarves' presence as an affront to the Queen of Air and Darkness, who has long ruled under the Feywild. The longer Tunda took to find a way to break her contract, the fewer dwarves would be able to return. In fact the Fey were feeding the dwarves to the machine that powers the dome over Mahovana.

Tunda can fey walk.

The party knew Tunda as the pirates' "elderly dwarf shapechanger in a wheelchair"; the pirates' letter mentions T turning into a mammoth to stomp on the chest. She was dead by the end of 1034. She was probably the druid Olaf "obliterated" early in 1034 (real date 2022-01-31), after which "a sad little owl", her familiar Sinatra, told the party things that astonished them: Tunda's deal with the King in Yellow, and that Creatis's livestock tithe feeds Heishen rather than the beasts of The Beastlands. Sinatra was then reabsorbed into the Feywild.
