The pirates' letter

The party found the pirates' letter to "C" (Clef Neverthirst), recorded as The Undercommon notebook. The box holding the Fork (The Chest Of Great Treasure) was now the pirates' only priority, and they listed what they had tried: questioning a talking head, which claimed only the escorts could open the box; questioning "the Wizard" (apparently Master Longhand), whose mind was mush; dispelling; Knock; simulacrums; brute force; a chime; and plans to kidnap someone from the palace at Vistas Landing or one of "the travellers". As a fallback, S knew of an elvish ruin near Reefwatch. The pirates had taken a fallen party member's head (probably General Xalner's).

The job board gained a new posting: monsters wanted alive for The Intervention.
