Glix

NPC Campaign 2 · After Skyfire

One of the Broken Bones twins; by most sources the brother and the monk.

Glix and Glux were the twins, a monk and a barbarian, who attacked the party on the boat in the campaign's opening episode. Sibling mercenaries and members of The Broken Bones, they rose fast and seized Wildharbour from Agrot with power from "someone dressed in yellow", The King In Yellow. Glix's contract (the Ace of Clubs in the List of Contracts) granted the power to be the strongest of all, which "only his hand can end". An animal-shaped Glix was reported in Wildharbour in early 1034.

The twins joined the free-for-all in The Arena, which the party won. In Dis the party recovered their contracts, and Olaf, holding the King in Yellow's hand, tore them up. Both twins were dead by the end of 1034.

Sources disagree on which twin is which: Scabard makes Glix a barbarian woman and Glux a monk, the party's notes list "Monk; Glix" and "Big weapon; Gluz", and the contracts call Glix "he" and Glux "she".

The Broken Bones' motivations agree with the contracts: Glix is the brother, a monk, and Glux the sister, a barbarian. The twins are human shifters, 25 years old, who grow more bestial each time they are met. Glix grows faster and more animal: his white-and-grey leathers are fraying into rags worn more for identification than protection, and his olive skin, dark brown eyes, pointed chin and narrow nose give the lower face an otherworldly, muzzle-like look, with taut lips over a feline mouth of sharpened teeth.
