Thekallan The Vigilant

Thekallan the Vigilant is a babau demon who enacts deals on behalf of The King In Yellow, as a servant of Titivilus. He calls himself "the demon who forgot himself in the Land of Soot", meaning he was a prisoner of The Empire of Soot.

• Campaign 2:
  • The party found the binding book of Thekallan, whose verse calls him "forth from Nish'rek… Weave of Acheron". Olaf kept the book.
  • The party also found a pact Thekallan had signed with an Underdark people: "make leader most powerful in the Underdark as their leaders were in times past, no matter the cost". Scribble kept it.
  • By January 2022 (real time) he had been released and was working for the King in Yellow, and he and Meradana had made a deal to protect the forests. When Olaf tore up the contracts in December 2022, the party kept Thekallan's as leverage: it binds him to act, hidden from Dispater, as a servant of Titivilus enacting contracts on the King in Yellow's behalf.
  • In May 2023 they brought "Thekko" back from the void. When he tried to flee, Scribble's Mass Suggestion met Thekko's ninth-level counterspell, and Scribble countered his ninth-level counterspell with his own ninth-level slot. The party then traded Thekallan's contract for an infernal contract granting them a demon army, with no soul-swapping.
  • Thekallan warned them that Dhum would be looking for "a real good place to summon an army".
• Campaign 4: the party discussed Thekallan when they found the King in Yellow's contracts in Sandwater Slough: the images in Uldrick's infernal book, and Baron Sharid's contract, sealed with the King's seal.
• The devil scribe of the prop contract, Torganoth, may be another name for him (conflict #2).
