Grix Fatemaker
NPC Campaign 1Ancient goblin sorcerer of the luck goddess who called the party Agents of Chaos and spoke of a coming calamity.
Grix "Fatemaker" is an ancient goblin sorcerer devoted to the goddess of luck (Tymora, the Laughing Luck), with truesight and a saying: "A copper to the Lady returns tenfold in gold." The party met him across a lake, shooting slaad tadpoles. He called them Agents of Chaos, spoke of a prophecy and a great calamity coming "that only Oghma knows", and vanished overnight, leaving each of them a gold coin of his goddess.
Bragg's account of the session in which the party became "officially Fatemakers" mentions Agents of Chaos and "a little goblin who's an adherent of the luck god", which fits Grix. The party's name comes from the original Fatemakers, the heroes who ended The Calamity; whether Grix also gave the party the name is not settled (see _conflicts.md).
The party's notes add that when Delin came up, Grix answered "Only Oghma knows". His big goblin eyes looked like gold coins and showed the silhouette of a lady, who seemed to be watching the party with great interest.
Also known as Grix.
