Bosia

Bosia (also spelled Boisia) is a northern continent and nation of shamanistic peoples and small towns. Its capital is Leau. The Sea of Vigils separates it from the continent of Hemastia; the 2019 notes give the strait's narrowest point as two days by sea in one draft and 250 miles in another. The tallest peak, Lichwatch, rises in the south-west, where the lich Herminius was said to dwell. The centre is rainforest, with mountains to the east and south, steppe to the north and north-west, and swamps to the west and east. Bandits and robber barons are common.

Bosia has no state religion. Meilikki is honoured in the forests and Chauntea in the fields, alongside Gond, Talos and Umberlee. In war the clans rally under a Warhost led by an elected Warmaster. The Xinsi Empire long ago gave up invading after a decade of guerrilla defeats.

Campaign 1. Bosia was much of the Fatemakers' early world. The emperor's advisor Sim was "a gnome from Bosia". Their towns included Leau, Kullmound on the Bay of Swords, Villon Bay, Summers End and Luktow. Braggum rose to warchief and set out to "unite Bosia into the Bragglands". In the "Ruination" that followed The Skyfire, Bosia was decimated for lack of a standing army, and refugees poured north into Luktow.

After the Skyfire most of the continent belongs to the Bragglands, which cover about 80 per cent of it.

Campaign 3. The Nocturnal Loom's agents seized a shipyard in Bosia's Bay of Swords, where Lord Cedric was chasing a Source.
