In May 2020 the Fatemakers had to persuade it to avert a war. After The Skyfire, with the emperor dead and no heir, the council squabbled over representation and the city's direction. Habir became archmage, Grand Techsmith Stephen replaced Loghoth, and Squirt briefly held a vacated seat.
