New Xinstock
Place Campaign 1Campaign 3A small flotilla of a town, founded in 1022 PC in the seawater-filled crater where Xinstock once stood.
New Xinstock is a small flotilla of a town, founded in 1022 PC on the water of the crater left when Xinstock was teleported away during The Skyfire, and it occupies the capital's old physical site; Xinstock itself, still the capital of The Xinsi Empire, now lies far off in the northern sea. The crater is filled with seawater. Flotsam from the lost city gathered at the centre of the lake as if drawn there. Returning settlers lashed together the larger structures, and the rafts grew into the town. The engineers Olive and Gurgle later improved it. Diving for ancient elven relics in the drowned ruins below became a lucrative trade, though many expeditions have been lost. Camar, who once made the famous "Camar's vintage", turned to subsistence farming to feed the town, though he is rumoured to keep a little of the good stuff. Squirt's bar, the House of Fate, stands by the new southern docks, and Malus Thimblefoot's shrine on the old canal started the annual memorial to the dead of the Skyfire.
The Fatemakers killed The Aspect, Ulamog, in the ruins of old Xinstock where the town now floats, ending The Skyfire.
In campaign 3, Return to the Ransom Manse sent the party from the underwater ruins of Xinstock up to New Xinstock.
