The Rookery College

The college is immense, with dozens of towers spanning the mountainside. gas light illuminates it through the dense fog.

The Magus Imperator is the highest order, this role is held by an elf of very advance years called Calliope, though she is exclusively referred to as Magus.

The library is located in one of the central spires and is extensively staffed

• Head Librarian: Archivist Eiluned, a bookish older half elf lady with a strict manner.
• Curator of Wizardly History: Archivist Thorne, an excitable Arakokra (magpie) female who wants to take copious notes from magic users for recording the history of magic in Eavaros.
• Curator of Books and Manuscripts: Archivist Calantha , an exceptionally well groomed female human with not a hair out of place who curates books, including the restricted sections of the library.
• Reference Librarian: Archivist Gwendolyn, a manic dwarven woman who runs about recording notes and assembling folders and folders of footnotes for the manuscripts within the library.
• Cataloguer: Archivist Dafydd, A slightly slow tall firbog with mossy greenish hair and slightly pink skin, he joyously goes about his tasks of ensuring books are in the correct location and adding new books, at which point he moves every book in the section along by one.
• Critical Analysis expert : Exegete Tantronell , A Swan headed arokokra whos tasks are to go into the world and discover new magics to analyse, and attempt to innovate the spell knowledge of the college.
• Outreach Coordinator: Archivist Estella A Bubbly human who greets all attendees to the library upon arrival, she is happy to share information about anyone and anything that she knows.
• Head of Security: Eadric, a white Dragonborn warrior with 2 short daggers by his sides and a very obvious eyepatch over his left eye. he has a troop of guards who report to him
• Librarian-Interns/Assistants: Ellen, Aiden, Emrys
• Minister for the advancement of learning: Minister Barnabas, reports to the sky council on the goings on at the rookery, is responsible for funding negotiations with the government of the city of Birds, which is a duocrracy, one arokokra prime minister and one elvish prime minister. The confederacy term applies to the 2 infividual governments , one for man and elf, one for bird.
• Curator of Magical artefacts: Archivist Odette, a cheeky and sly arokokra who is a bower bird, keeps the artefacts in the collection safe, clean and locked away behind display glass.

There are also multiple Professors who research at the college:

1. Professor Artaria, Professor of Enchantment, an older elf with an "I'm too old for this shit" attitude, he wlll introduce scribble around
2. Professor Alaric, Professor of Elemental Magic, an earth genasi with a stoney nature to his skin, a slight transparency to a few sections of skull that are obviously quartz with some slight glowing green elements below the surface.
3. Professor Seraphina, Professor of Necromancy, a very pale skinned human, uninterested in anyone except for ebony, will attempt to she wears a small raven skull around her neck and long elegant black robes that are slightly revealing.
4. Professor Eurydice, Professor of Illusion, looks like all of the other professors, is in fact a changeling and will appear as one or more or a mix of them from time to time.
5. Professor Castor, Professor of Ancient Runes and Scripts, a half elf with blond hair and a goatee and thick glasses.
6. Professor Morgan, Professor of Divination and Prophecy, a gnomish woman with redish hair and a small face, even for a gnome.
7. Professor Landon, Professor of Conjuration and Summoning, a male tiefling with blue skin and dark-coloured horns and eyes, with exaggerated magical gestures and movements.
8. Professor Lirien, Professor of Herbalism and Alchemy, an elderly human woman with grey hair pulled back severely almost to the point of stretching her face.
9. Professor Hob, Professor of Warding and Protection Magic, a slight androgynous halfling with long brown hair and a freckled face.
10. Professor Skuld, Professor of Chronomancy.a girthy and hairy dwarven wizard who seems unkempt but smells like strawberries all the time.

Most will have varying information on the research of the Magus, she has been researching divination, Morgan will have advised her on some reference books on enhancing divination, Odette will know that the covered mirror is magical in some way.

The Vestry

If the party can gain access to the vestry below the central tower, they will see the mirror covered with a red cloth. There will also be locked glass cases on the wall, contained within on one side wands :

Wand of Binding, locked iron chain with a white skull carved of opal at the end.

Wand of Magic Detection, a long fine black rapieresque wand with a glass bauble just back from the tip with grey smoke inside.

Wand of Magic missiles, an archemedian screw shaped wand with a blue carved flame for a handle.

Wand of Fireballs, a wooden wand simple, with fine filigree of flames charred into its surface and a citrine gem at the tip.

Wand of Polymorph, This one is at the centre and is locked with 2 additional chains it is also magically trapped. It is a stick, bent and gnarled with a mummified rat lashed to the tip with desiccated vines.

On the opposite wall are several scrolls, each a scroll of protection , one against abberations, fey, celestials, and fiends.there is a desk in front with the same for undead and multiple copyings of it underway. it seems to be a laborious task, as these arent spell scrolls

Above this on a shelf each chained to the desk with a thin silver thread are 4 Tuning forks

the Happy Hunting grounds is the Beastlands and there are three layers:

Krigala

A realm of pure noonday sun, with the flowing river akin to the Styx (called Coeanus) making the beast lands accessible from Arborea, home of the elvish gods, who are rumoured not to be restricted by the Divine Gate. (The rumour came from the Elven Gardener, a deity of God Street, who told it to Ebony during campaign 2. It isn't true.)

Finchnest

Archivist Calantha can provide some details on Finchnest, it is a new entry in the book of faith. And one that they would be cautious to conceal from the world.

Rumblings of a Kenku deities have always been a thing within the servant class (most Kenku relegated to house duties and menial tasks due to their lack of imagination, not quite open rebellion but they've started referring to something as the Trickster magpie. Something is inspiring a level of practical jokes and pranks , and noone knows what it is. some are even quiet quitting.

In the book of faith, a new symbol is fading into existence, and they haven't been able to deduce what it means or stands for yet. Research is ongoing, there is no reference by name to Quorlinn,

Kenku names.

Kettle Bubble - a cook,

Steel Drop - a laborer,

Wood Chop - a house servant

Glass Shatter - a very ugly kenku who was a servant in the longhand house.

In campaign 2

Scribble was admitted in 1034 on a letter from Master Longhand to Professor Artaria saying Scribble had surpassed his master. The party's notes add: Professors Artaria (elf, enchantment), Alaric (earth genasi, elemental), Seraphina (necromancy, interested only in Ebony), Eurydice (illusion, a changeling), Castor (runes), Morgan (gnome, divination), Landon (blue tiefling, conjuration), Lirien (herbalism and alchemy), Hob (halfling, warding) and Skuld (dwarf, chronomancy, smells of strawberries); and Odette, a bowerbird aarakocra, curator of artefacts. The college's Magus went missing for months after visions of mechanical creatures swarming the college.
