Saber Netherthirst

Saber was the vampire of The Broken Bones, from Duskmere. He promised Meradana to retrieve "the Fork", which the pirates believed was inside the chest the party had escorted. He left his brother Clef Neverthirst guarding the bubble city in The Red Wastes; Clef's diary complains that Saber got the better deal for extended life. Saber and his brother were both dead by the end of 1034.

The party's notes spell the family name Neverthirst; the Scabard page has Netherthirst.

Saber is a human who looks thirty-five to forty but is likely over fifty: long, well-kept reddish-black hair, fine gothic clothes in the manner of a French aristocrat, with black lace and black metal clasps, rings and ornaments, and pale skin caked in unguents and make-up against the daylight. Nearly invisible fangs sit behind thin pale lips, and his deep red eyes stare out of a sharp, angular face. He is a powerful wizard and a noble. At The Nightpeak Ball he came poorly disguised in a white Venetian mask set with rainbow-throwing crystals and capped with ram's horns, flanked by two caricatured wizard assistants in grey robes and blank white masks, both, like him, undead.
