Olive Press Row is a descending street of stone press-houses in Sandwater Slough, running from Highspire Court toward The Southern Slopes and The House of Amber, where the olives are crushed and rendered. The air is heavy with oil and pulp and the labour never stops; there are dozens of press-houses. The western wall of The Low Lantern Archive that burst with oil had pipes running to the presses. Slick found that the Row's barrel counts had stopped matching bonded-warehouse intake about thirteen years before the campaign. Maribel Tansa, overseer of one of the press-houses, was later seen with the Baron.
