The Baron
NPC Campaign 1The noble who gave the Fatemakers their first tasks; after the Skyfire he courted the Bragglands and traded horses.
The Baron (named in chat as Daryl Chudwell) gave the party its first jobs: fetch his son from a remote brothel, deal with the undead infesting his lands, and deal with the fishmen. Delin's captured letter described him as "blissfully unaware" of Delin's plotting. Others in his town included Mason, captain of the guard; the guard Emmerson (see Emerson Fraser); the gnomish courtesan Fascinatia; and Suaerki, who ran a "little mystical op shop".
After The Skyfire the Baron's remaining coffers helped rebuild around Summers End. He forged closer ties with the Bragglands, used his sway on the council to rebuild ships under his banner, leveraged his title with no imperial heir to be found, and took up horse trading, returning several times a year to his properties in the north-west of the empire and his wife.
