Bragglands

Place Campaign 1 · The Skyfire ChroniclesCampaign 2 · After Skyfire

The largest and newest nation on Bosia, founded by Braggum; Xinstock's ally after the Skyfire.

The Bragglands (also spelled Braglands) are the largest and newest nation on Bosia, covering about 80 per cent of the continent's north-east. They are the name post-Skyfire Bosia's north-east has taken, after their founder, the Fatemaker Braggum.

Borders. The Bragglands have no official border. Roughly, they run from the mountains along the west coast across to the Sea of Vigils, stopping about 100 miles north of Eau and The Bay of Swords.

Origins (campaign 1). Bragg became warchief at the moot, conquered and united the barbarian tribes, toppled the Diregraph Colossus and became patron of the orc town of Luktow, with the stated aim to "unite Bosia into the Bragglands". His orc wife's tribe took in humans and lizardfolk. In 1019 the party's notes describe the Bragglands as Luktow, a human village and the lizard islands of northern Bosia. One of campaign 1's "books" was titled The Bragglands; it covered the Lizard Liberation, Sim, Summers End and the Duke.

After The Skyfire. When Xinstock was teleported into the northern sea near Summers End, the Bragglands became the city's lifeline. The Baron and Xinstock's merchants were suddenly eager to trade, and Summers End grew rapidly. Luktow, governed by Lurpak with Sarr, Folanir and Rafut, took in refugees from the south of Bosia. Mureal de Mowbray ran the Bragglands' intelligence service, with Fascinatia rumoured to be her enforcer, and Bess Montagu led one of its legions. The engineers Olive and Gurgle refined its merchant navy.
