The Star Scorpion Guild

The Star Scorpion Guild (written "Starcorpion" in the party's notes) were revered, gilded ancient astral elves, "the great creators of ancestry" and the core of astral elf myth. Their mark is a scorpion-shaped spelljammer with seven hull chambers and a tail-spire around a helm. In campaign 2 the guildmaster Elrithien made Olaf's visor, the Visor of Fathoms, and Xosomasaux's coat, a star-elf relic that gives access to the Feywild residuum bubble (see Elrithiens research journal). Elrithien's tomb is in Mechanus; through its walls Olaf saw a body in the coffin with one mechanical hand and one mechanical leg.

In the Godscar the guild's sigil is on Slick's bracelet, the Star Scorpion Command Node, whose symbols resemble the King in Yellow seal. The guild built the stargate under Rillachor, delivered the terraforming that became The Great Evaporation when Herentor's veil fell in 1019 PC, and pierced that veil; The Seven Journals of Mechanus record its engineering clans (among them the Gallons) and the final scorpion ship, Asterion-of-Seven-Returns, that carried some of them away.
