Luktow
Place Campaign 1Bragg's orc town in the Bragglands, defended against the Thing of Sadness.
Luktow (also Lok'tow) is the orc town of Braggum's wife, its chieftain, and her tribe, which took in humans and lizardfolk, and it became the heart of the Bragglands with Bragg as its patron. The Fatemakers first headed there in June 2019; its tavern is the Pit. Sim's skull hangs over the town. A 2020 map shows farms to the north, livestock to the east, a bridge and a palisade, and Luktow's farms and orchards were to supply fruit for Bragg's liquor business. Its most powerful spellcaster is the druid Folanir.
In April 2021 a meteor beacon drew The Thing of Sadness up the river. The town's defence towers pinned it with giant bolts; it brought down a tower and crashed into Luktow's bridge before the Fatemakers killed it, and four orc defenders died. Cirella considered warding the town with Forbiddance.
When The Skyfire came, the order to retreat deeper into the Bragglands and Luktow saved many lives. Afterwards Lurpak governed the town with Sarr, Folanir and Rafut, and it grew enormously as refugees poured in from a decimated Bosia, among them Ryan the Gunsmith, Irma of The Sollimus Family, Apollyon and Cleetus and Bess Montagu.
Also known as Loktow, Lok'tow, Luk'tow.
