Cyric
NPC Campaign 1Campaign 3god of death, just one aspect of many.
Cyric is the god of lies and strife; Scabard calls him a "god of death, just one aspect of many". In the era of The New Gods he is known as the Whispered Betrayal, and his symbol is a snake coiled around a moon.
- Campaign 1: a shrine the Fatemakers visited depicted Cyric alongside Bane, Gond, Ilmater, Oghma and Myrkul. He has a temple on Xinstock's Temple Row.
- Campaign 3: "the Whispered Betrayer" was one of the five gods who last walked the world. The party also heard that "there is no crime graver than naming the Betrayer", whose epithet was scoured from every record. It was never made explicit whether this Betrayer is Cyric or The Harsh, whose moon Zelyr means "the Betrayed" but is mistranslated as "the Betrayer".
Also known as The Whispered Betrayal, The Whispered Betrayer.
